10 Ways WWE Are Currently Catering To Hardcore Fans

3. The Bullet Club

If you had told me that Festus would someday return to WWE as one of the hottest free agents in the industry I would have laughed in your face. Outside of that genius gimmick he's also been a fake Kane, CM Punk flunkie and a bit player in a Sons of Anarchy rip-off stable. But somehow here we are.

Luke Gallows went to New Japan and reinvented himself alongside "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson as the tag team enforcers of The Bullet Club, and in doing so raised both of their stock exponentially.

For those still unfamiliar, The Bullet Club are the hottest post-nWo wrestling faction not named The Shield and they took Japan by storm with their popularity and merchandise sales.

The percentage of fans who watch both WWE and New Japan is minuscule, yet when the Good Brothers made their debut on Monday Night Raw, as well as their subsequent appearances catching up with former stablemate AJ Styles and attacking Roman Reigns, they received reactions that would seem to defy that notion.

Will their popularity continue? All signs are pointing to something major going down involving Anderson and Gallows at Payback, so they appear to be headed for big things.

Make no mistake, the credibility they've earned with smart fans is a definite part of the reason WWE brought them in and made them a part of this new creative direction.
