10 Ways WWE Can Still Salvage 2019
10. Give Kofi Kingston His Rematch
Let's start with a glaring issue that provoked fans all over the world to condemn the company for their short-sighted booking strategy.
When Brock Lesnar swept into town and bulldozed Kofi Kingston's 180 day WWE Title reign, people weren't that surprised as SmackDown debuted on Friday nights on FOX. Lesnar is of course well known in MMA circles and lent himself to the legitimate atmosphere that FOX wanted to inject into their new acquisition. Him being the new face of the show was logical.
What made literally no sense, though, was for The Beast Incarnate to squash Kingston in under 10 seconds and for the former champ to subsequently forget any affiliation with the title and slot right back into his playful New Day spot.
As of this moment no follow-up or repercussions from that shocking moment have been seen and WWE has completely shunted Kingston out of the main event scene in order to make way for the big buzz signing of Cain Velasquez.
If you want to get a couple of your p*ssed off fans back on side, maybe throwing Kingston the next shot - after the two former UFC stars have slogged it out in Saudi Arabia - wouldn't be the worst idea in the world.
