10 Ways WWE Could Improve Hall Of Fame

By Matt Davis /

9. Establish Required Achievements

In Cooperstown, the home of the Major League Baseball Hall Of Fame, it's understood that if you have a lifetime batting average of at least .300, you're a likely Hall Of Famer. In the Pro (American) Football Hall Of Fame, if you've won more than one Super Bowl, chances are, you're a likely Hall Of Famer. Each sport has their own "unwritten" rules of induction, but WWE does not. What must be done inside the squared circle to warrant a WWE Hall Of Fame induction? No one really knows. Is it win a World championship? Well, no, because plenty of inductees have never done that while plenty of long-retired world champions are not in the Hall Of Fame. Is it main event WrestleMania? Well, that's very limiting but even that group lacks inductees. WWE would do well to drop a few hints in their discussions of the Hall Of Fame, including hype videos and the ceremony itself, as to a common thread each member achieved (i.e. multiple championship reigns, headlining numerous PPVs, etc.). It won't be the easiest of tasks (though that's why WWE makes the big bucks), but when your Hall Of Famers range from Koko B. Ware to Bushwhacker Luke while Sid and The Hart Foundation still remain on the sidelines, something clearly ain't right.
