10 Weirdest Jobs Wrestlers Had Before They Were Stars

10. Carmella: Cheerleader

Carmella has carved out quite the career in WWE since taking up pro wrestling as a full-time occupation. She's gone on to win two Money in the Bank ladder matches and has enjoyed reigns as both SmackDown Women's and 24/7 Champion.

However, wrestling wasn't always the plan for the 'Princess of Staten Island' and, before she started working with NXT in 2013, she actually enjoyed a successful career as a cheerleader.

Under her actual name of Leah Van Dale, the eventual WWE superstar appeared as a cheerleader for the NFL's New England Patriots from 2007-2010. Once her time with the now-six time Super Bowl Champions was over, she then auditioned to be a part of the L.A. Lakers dance team and eventually went on to appear as a Laker Girl for the 2010-2011 season. Weirdly enough, she'd actually applied to be a part of 2010's WWE Tough Enough program, but pulled out once she found out she'd been accepted as a Laker Girl.

Along with her successful cheerleading career, Carmella is also a certified fitness instructor and personal trainer.

Carmella clearly put those years of dancing in front of a huge crowd to good use when taking part in her numerous 'dance breaks' with R-Truth during the pairs well-received 'Fabulous Truth partnership throughout 2018-2019.
