Ever wanted to see AJ Styles as a plumber or Captain Lou as a woman? Neither did we.

Music videos are a great marketing tool for artists looking to push a new release. While some use it a little more artistically than others, the power of TV can be huge and even some of the worst songs have been saved by entertaining visuals.

Conversely, three minutes of televised rubbish can make a good tune average and a bad one the absolute s**ts. Regardless of which category you believe the ten offerings in this list fall under, they are certainly memorable... for wrestling fans at least.

Lou Albano was the first to make the jump when he appeared in Cyndi Lauper's video for "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". The relationship spawned the 'Rock 'n' Wrestling Connection', leading to a link between WWE and the music industry that is still going strong today. Look no further than NXT's annual participation at Download Festival for proof of just that.

However, not all wrestling/music crossovers can have the seamless transition of Chris Jericho's career. Some collaborations have been awful at worst and confusing at best (see the Be A Man album by Randy Savage for further reading). Here's ten of the weirdest examples of when wrestlers have stepped into the world of music videos.

10. Lou Albano - Cyndi Lauper

What better place to start than where it all began?

Captain Lou Alabano had apparently met Cyndi Lauper on a trip to Puerto Rico, where she asked Lou to appear in the her debut video, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". This trend would continue when Lou played a background cook for all of two seconds in Lauper's follow up "Time After Time". However, the video for her third single - "She Bop" - would take a unusual turn.

The song itself focuses around the subject of masturbation and the video is a metaphor for sexual liberation... which makes Albano's presence all the more weird. Dressed like an elderly woman (yet still sporting a full beard), Albano accompanies several other oldies as the "SWAT" team - an acronym for Suburban Wives Against Transgressors. Meanwhile, women's wrestling icon, Wendi Richter, also makes an appearance as a sultry waitress, lip syncing the opening line of the song.

Lauper would continue her love affair with wrestling in her theme song for Spielberg hit, The Goonies. In her video for "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough", Albano and Richter appear yet again, while it also features a whole host of others, including: 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper, The Iron Sheik, Freddie Blassie, The Fabulous Moolah, Nikolai Volkoff, and André the Giant.
