Ever since Mick Foley (as Mankind) attempted to cheer up a hospitalized Vince McMahon (who was, for some reason, being filmed by WWF cameras) by creating a sock puppet character named €˜Mr. Socko€™, the sock has been a formidable weapon in pro wrestling. €œMr. Socko€ Mankind (and later Mick Foley under his own name) would keep the sock securely tucked into the front of his sweatpants, removing it in time to jam it into his opponent€™s mouth as part of his €˜Mandible Claw€™ finishing hold. Now, we love Foley as much (or perhaps more) than the next rabid wrestling fans, but you couldn€™t pay us enough to have ANYTHING dredged up from the front of Mick€™s sweatpants put anywhere near our mouths!
