10 Weirdest WWE Royal Rumble Entrants Ever
10. Jeff Jarrett (2019)
Jeff Jarrett's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018 was shocking in itself considering the terrible terms he left on almost two decades earlier (and how he went on to start up his own promotion to rival WWE).
Many expected for him to get his moment over WrestleMania 34 weekend in New Orleans, sing "With My Baby Tonight," and never be seen or heard from again in the WWE Universe. That was why his Royal Rumble appearance in 2019 came as such a surprise to fans.
Jarrett entered at number two and almost sang a duet with Elias before getting a guitar smashed over his back and being swiftly eliminated. He lasted all of a minute and 20 seconds.
It was rumored soon afterward that The Honky Tonk Man was originally slated for the spot because of how he lives in Phoenix (where the event emanated from) and he was announced as an inductee into the Hall of Fame no more than a month later.
Jarrett was a fine consolation prize, but even weirder was his subsequent feud with Elias that played out on Raw in the weeks that followed.
Elias vs. Jarrett was the rivalry fans never knew they didn't want until it happened.
