10. Booker T Mistakenly Offends Owen Hart Fans

In early-2015, Booker T landed himself in hot water for comments made on Monday Night Raw. Looking to put over the high-flying antics of Neville, Booker accidentally upset a lot of people with his words. Michael Cole had compared Neville to Owen Hart, but Booker stated that Hart didn't "defy gravity" like the Englishman can. Clearly, the announcer wasn't intending to be offensive with the statement, but his words were poorly chosen. At the Over The Edge Pay-Per-View in May, 1999, Owen plummeted to his death when a safety harness gave way. Falling from the top of the building to the ring below, the Canadian wrestler would die on his way to hospital. Hart's family were upset by Booker's choice of phrasing. Bruce Hart, in particular, said the former World Heavyweight Champion should be ashamed of himself. Apologising via social media, Booker T said he never meant to shock anyone with his words, he was simply trying to put over a current talent.
