TNA has its roots in Nashville, Tennessee. Jeff and Jerry Jarrett started the company there, and Dixie Carter continues to have her office at company headquarters there, even though they were running a large majority of their shows in Orlando, Florida (after the first two years of shows in Nashville). You know what else Tennessee has become famous for through history? Being the musical home to none other than Elvis Presley. If you're going to have a wrestling company in Tennessee, why wouldn't you have something Elvis-related on your roster? In 2002? You know... the absolute peak of Elvismania. Someone in TNA (one of the Jarretts, undoubtedly) decided to take three wrestlers... Sonny Siaki, Jimmy Yang and Jorge Estrada... and dress them up in Elvis-style jumpsuits, because of course they would. The "Flying Elvises" were born. The group wasn't together for more than a couple months, but nothing screamed "second-rate backwoods wrestling promotion for a niche audience" more than this did. Unfortunately for Estrada, he was saddled with more Elvis nonsense after the group split, as he would continue on wrestling in a jumpsuit and even getting a female valet named Priscilla (named after Elvis' ex-wife). It's tough to truly recover from things like that.
