10 Worst Excuses For Losing A Fight

2. Karo Parisyan - Too Talented To Train

So, we've already mentioned how fighters need a certain level of confidence in order to be a success inside of a cage or ring.

Confidence is obviously one thing. Blind arrogance is something else entirely.

Karo Parisyan had amassed a decent record of 18-4 going into his clash with Thiago Alves at UFC Fight Night 13. Both were coming off of winning runs, so a fairly even contest was expected.

Yet, Thiago Alves was the star who continued his hot TKO streak by stopping Parisyan early in the second round.

When you're stopped so conclusively, sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and admit that tonight wasn't your night.

Not Parisyan. Nope, he instead fumed at the outcome. However, he did offer a solution going forward.

He informed us all that his 'worst enemy has always been that (he's) been too talented to train, and now it’s catching up with (him).'

So, rather than applauding Alves for being the better man that night, he crapped all over the 'Pitbull' and made himself look like an arrogant pr*ck by suggesting that he simply walked into most of his fights without any preparation.

A fighter who had victories over Nick Diaz, Chris Lytle and Matt Serra never trained for a fight in his life. Yep, makes sense.
