10 Worst WWE Championship Reigns Of The 1990s

8. Sycho Sid (February - March 1997)

The February 17th 1997 edition of Raw holds the distinction of being the first episode of the show to play host to a WWE title change. It's just a shame that the subsequent title reign was pants.

The lucky man was Sycho Sid, who defeated Bret Hart just one night after he'd won the vacant title at In Your House: Final Four. So why didn't Sid just win the belt there? He wasn't even booked? This company, man...

Anyway, the Master of the Powerbomb would only get 34 days with the Winged Eagle, as the next pay-per-view in the schedule was WrestleMania 13.

Sid... at WrestleMania 13... oh no... that means it's the terrible Undertaker match! Run, everyone, run!

Neither of the two behemoths could pull a decent match out of the other, leading to one of the worst Mania main events in company history.

To top it all off, rumour persists that Sid soiled himself at some point during the bout. This probably took the sting out of him losing the belt somewhat, but is still not something you want to be remembered for.
