10 Worst WWE Feuds Of 2019

The Bottom 1%...

Honourable mentions aren't as vast as you might think, because WWE doesn't commit to a f*cking thing anymore.

On the few occasions when the company have managed to book a feud with a beginning, middle and end, it's typically turned out quite well. Rey Mysterio and Brock Lesnar's Survivor Series scuffle went a bit bananas by the end but the build-up hiding underneath a limper Lesnar war with Cain Velasquez was a shot in the arm for all involved.

Even though Becky Lynch's Road To WrestleMania was covered with potholes and plotholes, 'The Man' was so incredibly over that fans went with it and remember it now for the white hot bookends instead of the sh*t text hidden inside. Charlotte Flair's done nowt of note since WrestleMania 35 save for a series in which she made the retiring Trish Stratus look like the biggest ever threat to her throne because fans cared enough about the characters to listen and respond to their words and actions.

WWE can still do this, and clearly still try, but they'll always be bound by a system that misses more than it hits, and a Chairman still utterly obsessed with the drizzling sh*ts.

10. Seth Rollins Vs. Baron Corbin

"Seth Rollins Vs. Twitter" may have been more suitable for filling this entire list considering how poorly he performed on the platform in 2019, but 'The Beastslayer's infamous "Best pro wrestling on the planet. Period" tweet being used to promote his battle with Baron Corbin spoke to just how disconnected the champion was from his Universe.

The polarising programme was already one match deep by the time the two made it to the June pay-per-view, having kicked off Saudi Arabia's Super ShowDown a month earlier with a relative whimper. As Raw ratings tumbled (a position Corbin was only too familiar with - and Seth was well aware of as well), the pair worked their second consecutive supercard main event in front of an empty hard camera side to highlight just how few people were buying what they were failing to sell.

Becky Lynch was airlifted into the finish of that match after Corbin employed the services of corrupt referee Lacey Evans, but a dour on-screen chemistry between the real life couple resulted in the feud poisoning 'The Man' rather than enriching her man. So bad it should have been Rollins' 2019 nadir, Corbin disappeared from view for a month following its conclusion just to try to eradicate some of the stench.
