7. Becky Lynch Vs. Alicia Fox - RAW, April 22

Seriously: what the f*ck?

You can forgive - or explain - many of WWE's practises. Vince unilaterally controls everything. His puerile sense of humour, his advancing years and no-selling of sleep have all converged to create a sense of meaningless, asinine chaos.

But this was truly inexplicable.

Becky Lynch was the RAW Women's Champion. She was the SmackDown Women's Champion. She was Becky Two Belts. She had just headlined WrestleMania, making real history in the process. She was the biggest star in the company. And, on April 22, she wrestled Alicia Fox, performing on television for just the fifth time in the year. Hers was a sporadic presence because she was mired in personal and substance abuse problems.

A healthy Fox, in a good place, was a strange opponent to go 50/50 with Becky Lynch. Without casting aspersions on her condition at the time, this version of Fox was at the very least rusty: the match started generically enough, but soon fell apart. Alicia tripped over Becky as she kicked her in the back.

Then, as the action heated up, Fox performed the throat slit gesture, and her eyes rolled into the back of her head before delivering the Tombstone piledriver, only this didn't happen, because she was actually trying to bump for a tilt-a-whirl headscissors.

Negligent, abhorrent stuff.
