10 Worst WWE Matches Of 2019
5. Naomi Vs. Billie Kay - RAW, April 22
It feels harsh, this, because you've forgotten the match even happened, it went about a minute, and who knows: if it went five, maybe it might have become something. Maybe those first few flubs were just nerves.
But this match went one minute and 12 seconds, all one minute and 12 seconds were rubbish.
Well, not all of it. Billie Kay aimed a kick accurately at Naomi, and threw her to the floor safely enough before mounting a pin. And then something unforgivable happened: in a one minute and 12 second-long match, Kay grabbed an arm bar and did her IIconic shrieking throughout it. This hold was applied for 26 seconds. That is over a third of the duration. That's the Baron Corbin ratio, but he at least does other things in his matches.
Naomi escaped - quite easily, given the lack of pressure - and mounted her comeback. This involved a kick to the head and a flying clothesline, and dear God, Billie Kay's bump. She bumped like a felled tree sent tumbling, slowly to earth with a rusty saw.
The naturally fallen oak that made up the New Daniel Bryan's custom WWE Title was brisker to die and collapse.
