10 WrestleMania Results That Made Absolutely No Sense

10. Every Title Match With A Screwy Finish

Okay, this first entry might be viewed as cheating in a way, but hear me out. WrestleMania is in many ways the season finale of World Wrestling Entertainment, where the big stories come to an end and issues are resolved in the most final of ways. Of course, nothing truly ever ends in professional wrestling, but this is the premise. As such, matches that end in disqualification, count-out or any other dodgy manner deservedly receive the most dramatic of eye-rolling and questionable hand motions. This is even more frustrating and irritating when the match in question is a title match. More often than not it has been employed as a way of having a babyface challenger win without the heel champion looking weak, and this insecurity has plagued wrestling since forever. In WrestleMania history, twelve title matches have ended in some sort of screwy finish, with 50% of these being Intercontinental Championship matches. WWE has at least improved massively in this area, with not a single instance since The Rock defeated Ken Shamrock by disqualification at WrestleMania XIV (although they teased ending the entire show with a double count-out at WrestleMania XXVII). It is lazy booking, especially at the biggest show of the year, and it makes little sense whatsoever. Have some balls, bookers.
