10 Wrestlers Currently Out Injured (And When They Might Return)

10. Rick Boogs

The wrestling world was heartbroken at WrestleMania 38 when Rick Boogs suffered an injury during the opening match.

Boogs tore his quadricep and injured his patellar tendon whilst attempting to lift both Uso brothers on his shoulders at once. He collapsed immediately after the move, leading some to speculate that it was a planned spot in the match. Unfortunately, it was not.

Not only did Boogs and his partner Shinsuke Nakamura not win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships on that night, but the injury also meant that fans haven't seen the guitarist since early April.

An injury of this kind takes anywhere between six months to a year to fully heal. When Triple H tore his quad in May 2001, he wasn't back until January 2002. However, that injury was a lot more serious.

According to a video on his personal YouTube channel, Boogs claims that he is ahead of schedule with his recovery. At the time of writing, he has been out for six months, so his return could come as early as the end of 2022

However, given his multiple injuries, it might be a safer bet to say that Pat McAfee's favourite musician might make his return in early 2023.
