10 Wrestlers Who Barely Sold Finishing Moves

10. Shawn Michaels Shakes Off Randy Orton's Punt Kick

For the longest time it seemed like we'd seen the last of Randy Orton's highly successful punt kick.

After putting down the likes of Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Batista, Triple H and even WWE Chairman Vince McMahon with the gruesome manoeuvre, the move was officially banned in 2012 amid concussion concerns. That was until Orton decided to bring back the vicious strike to the skull in 2020 during his epic feud with Edge.

On top of punishing the 'Rated 'R' Superstar' with this returning game-changer, Orton has dealt out punts to Christian, Big Show, Ric Flair and once again to the 'Heartbreak Kid' in recent months.

Yet, it was this recent attack on Michaels which instantly got the internet talking. After taking an RKO (another highly protected move) and then a brutal punt at high speed, 'HBK' dragged himself into the corner and acted like he was suffering from a bout of head rush after standing up too quickly.

This ridiculous no-sell made 'The Viper's most savage weapon look painfully ineffective and made the chaps who took the move before him look like dorks for acting like they'd been murdered post-punt.

We get it Shawn, you're hard, but would it really have been so tough to lie on your stomach for a few minutes?
