Believe it or not, there was a time when Ted DiBiase Jr was being talked about as a potential candidate for the man who could challenge The Undertaker's incredible winning streak at WrestleMania. Not only that, but the relatively bland mid-card star was also discussed as the kind of young wrestler who could actually be chosen to end the streak, which is pretty mind-blowing. Obviously, that kind of thing is hard to grasp now, but at one time or another, the son of the 'Million Dollar Man' was talked about in glowing terms, dubbed "the future" of the industry along with the likes of Cody Rhodes. In essence, being placed in a stable with Rhodes and Randy Orton (Legacy) was designed purely to prepare DiBiase for bigger and better things once the association ended. Of course, DiBiase Jr could only do so much, and seemed to struggle with the knowledge that his father had been a major star. After a good long while toiling in the mid-card scene, seemingly going nowhere, the man decided to take matters into his own hands, leaving the company to sell study books to university students. In interviews since, DiBiase Jr has said he came to the conclusion that he had went as high as he could in WWE.
