Kofi Kingston finally climbing the ranks to win the WWE Championship from Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 was a monumental moment.

It was a redemption tale for Kofi after losing his opportunity near 10 years prior, in his feud with Orton, when backstage politics and manoeuvring kept him in the mid-card for years.

It was an impressive moment as it was emotional for Kofi and his New Day partners Big E and Xavier Woods, who stormed the ring after Kofi landed Trouble in Paradise for the 1-2-3. Xavier was crying holding Kofi up in the air with the title. It was a redemption story for Xavier too, given he conceived and created The New Day when being on the verge of getting fired in 2014 and had to convince Kofi and Big E of giving the gimmick/trio a shot.

Xavier tweeted after the match:

"Ive never felt emotions like this in my entire career. @TrueKofi did it. We all did it. Tonight a previously closed off part of the @wwe universe realized that they can be champion too & that representation is so much more important than people realize. Congrats Kofi. We love you’."
