10 Wrestlers Who Secretly Changed WWE History

5. Emma

The 'Black and Gold' era of NXT did many wonderful things, but it cannot be overstated how much it changed people's opinions on women's wrestling. The main roster ladies were treated like garbage week in, week out, but on NXT? They were superstars.

A lot of deserved credit is given to The Four Horsewomen - Charlottle Flair, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Becky Lynch - but the revolution really began with Paige. The Brit was the first ever NXT Women's Champion, and her unique appearance was a far cry from the traditional 'Diva' mould. However, it takes two to tango.

The woman Paige defeated to become NXT Women's Champion was Emma. The Australian-born star had more in common with the blonde bombshells on Raw and SmackDown, but she was so much better in the ring. She was a great early dance partner for Paige and later Charlotte, whom she also lost to in the finals of a title tournament.

Emma's part in the evolution of women's wrestling has sadly been lost to time. She's much better remembered for her disasterous 'Emmalina' gimmick nowadays, which, to be fair, was pretty funny.
