Pro wrestling is a business that almost demands a certain degree of ego and self-importance in order to be successful. Such a statement is pretty much true of any form of entertainment, but there's a big difference between self belief and arrogance. Some of the biggest stars in music, film and sport have incredible bluster, but that's perhaps part of what makes them so alluring for people. Wrestling is no different, and given that the industry is (still to this day) such a macho one, it's no surprise that many grapplers have taken themselves entirely seriously over the years. After all, by preserving such an incredibly strong resolve, it makes sense that this would cause people to respect these performers, because they realise that they have big personalities, not to mention a lot of pride. Sometimes, pride gives way to pretentiousness however, and that's where the wrestlers named on this list come in. There's absolutely nothing wrong with believing in yourself, it should be encouraged in everyday life far more than it is, and can go a long way to helping people achieve their dreams, but these guys quite often turn self-belief into self-love, and it can become pretty embarrassing!
