Across electrifying and demented stunt shows to the precise, punishingly dull opposite of excitement, Edge, fittingly for a man with such range (before he descended into drab Oscar-bait, anyhow), ran the gamut on the Grandest Stage.

He made his first in-ring appearance at WrestleMania 2000 and stole the show in an excellent Triple Threat Ladder match opposite the Hardyz and the Dudley Boyz. That match was elevated into the iconic and phenomenal with the additions of Tables and Chairs at WrestleMania X-Seven. His legacy is mostly synonymous with gloriously unhinged plunder - he won the first, sublime Money In The Bank Ladder match before defeating Mick Foley in a wild Hardcore bout - but he crafted the odd mat classic, too.

His 'Mania XXVI effort opposite Chris Jericho wasn't quite that, but his XXIV main event versus the Undertaker certainly was: a vastly underrated counter-driven masterclass, he knew exactly how to create the illusion of breaking the Streak.

It descends into middling territory elsewhere - matches against Booker T and Alberto Del Rio sat within or quite behind the Gentleman's Three - but not even the most po-faced bore to ever take itself so seriously, the depressing Last Man Standing match at the depressing WrestleMania 36, can't tarnish his illustrious legacy.
