10 Wrestlers Who Were World Champions In More Than One Company At The Same Time
10. Kenny Omega
Yes, alright, this feels a bit like we've fooled you but it's important to remember that the IMPACT belt wasn't the first belt that Kenny added to his collection.
In fact, neither was the AEW belt.
Kenny Omega has been the champion of Mexican promotion, AAA, since October 2019.
Kenny won the brilliantly-titled "Mega Championship" from another member of the AEW roster - Rey Fenix - defeating the masked man at AAA's "Héroes Inmortales XIII" show.
Owing to Kenny's status as a full-time AEW wrestler (and the small matter of a global pandemic), Omega has somewhat neglected his duties as Mega Champion. He's only defended the title four times, despite having reigned for over 560 days at time of writing. His only major defences have been against Sammy Guevara on an episode of Dynamite and against Laredo Kid at AAA's biggest show of the year, TripleMania, in December 2020.
As the world opens up, hopefully AAA can begin to utilise the star power of their top champion once again.
Meanwhile, IMPACT will be watching and hoping they don't suffer the same fate.
