10 Wrestlers WWE Gave Up On In 2021

10. Bayley

Putting together the strongest run of her nine-year stint in WWE as the company endured its most difficult period in recent memory, Bayley would become arguably the most eye-catching part of Friday Night SmackDown throughout the ThunderDome era.

Frequently stellar displays on the mic were matched only by her deliciously sadistic work in the ring. Yet, her undoubted highlight in this period came in the form of a career-best feud with old sparring partner Sasha Banks which eventually resulted in a spectacular Hell in a Cell showdown over the SmackDown Women's Championship.

Now sure, Bayley may have been left title-less coming into 2021, but the longest (and most entertaining) reign in the blue brand's history pretty much ensured that she would have something compelling to do coming into the biggest show of the year, right?

But alas, instead of gifting us a Role Model taking on The Man, Bayley was fed to The Bellas at 'Mania 37, only to lose back-to-back PPV contests against new blue champ Bianca Belair before being struck down by injury. Here's hoping this ThunderDome MVP proves just how idiotic the company were to bench her on The Grandest Stage when she does eventually return.
