Rumors were flying in mid-to-late 2014 surrounding Kurt Angles future. There were reports that Angles contract with TNA was coming to an end, and that he would sign with WWE to finish his career where it started. However, that is no longer possible, as Angle recently won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Had WWE signed Kurt, he couldve been used in a multitude of roles. He couldve become an on-screen authority figure, he couldve wrestled part-time, he couldve managed or worked with a younger star to help build their reputation, etc. He is also someone that many people want to see back in the WWE, so that he can retire in the company that made him a star in the first place. Theres a plethora of roles that Kurt couldve filled if WWE had signed him on last year. Maybe, if he hadnt gone straight to Vince and talked with Triple H first, things might be different now.
