10 Wrestlers You Had No Idea Wrestled On TNA One Night Only
10. Serpentico
Competing as Jay Cruz, current AEW star and Chaos Project man Serpentico has made a handful of appearances in the Impact Zone throughout his (surprisingly illustrious) fourteen-year career, but only one of those came via a One Night Only event.
One Night Only: X-Travaganza 2015, to be precise.
That night was capped off with an Impact favourite, the Ultimate X Match, with matches used earlier in the night determining the participants. Cruz's qualifying bout came against both Crazzy Steve and The Great Sanada in a match that was, unsurprisingly, a hectic affair between three genuinely standout talents. Keep in mind, at this stage, Sanada wasn't quite on the level he's at in today's New Japan.
Cruz actually worked alongside the former IWGP Tag Team Champion during the match to dispose of Steve, showing off some decent offence. He was still a relatively unknown name at this point, though, which ultimately led to him only being here to fill a spot really. It's his in-ring talent that got him booked at the end of the day.
Mist spray and a diving moonsault from the current Los Ingobernables member eliminated ol' Serpentico's chances of winning, with Crazzy Steve eventually advancing. A good match that perfectly fit the narrative of these One Night Only shows.
