Back when both were setting up their "Once In A Lifetime" battle at WrestleMania XXVIII (and their "Twice In A Lifetime" one the following year), John Cena and The Rock got real. Duelling promos on TV turned into shoot-style rants, and Cena even questioned Rock's loyalty to pro wrestling and WWE.

That p*ssed ol' Dwayne off more than anything else said.

Today, Cena realises that it was wrong to challenge Rocky on his love of the industry. He was all WWE all the time back in 2012-13, and told Sports Illustrated that he couldn't possibly have known the schedule his opponent was keeping. Now he's in the movies himself, John understands it, and that's why he sought Johnson out to apologise.

In a one-on-one conversation, Cena told The Rock he was sorry for doubting his passion and using it for a cheap reaction during their feud. Dwayne accepted the olive branch, and the pair became close pals after doing business. All's well that ends well comes to mind here.
