10. Triple H Has Pitched Cruiserweight Idea For Years

The Cruiserweight Classic is earning rave reviews on the WWE Network. Of course, the tournament won't be to everyone's tastes, but at least the company are presenting different styles and allowing fresh talent to gain some exposure. It also feeds nicely into the fact that a new Cruiserweight division is set to hit Monday Night Raw in the near future.

During a conference call with the media this week, Triple H revealed that the Cruiserweight Classic and subsequent focus on Raw isn't a knee-jerk decision. In fact, 'The Game' has had the idea in the back of his head for years, but faced some resistance from other management when trying to make it happen.

It must be satisfying for Triple H to see his plan come to fruition now, especially at a time when WWE are heavily promoting a 'new era'. He didn't elaborate, but most will be assuming that he's talking about Vince McMahon when citing 'other management'.

At least Triple H is open to different shapes and sizes in WWE, especially if he's had the concept in mind for a few years.
