10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week

10. There's A Petition For The British Bulldog To Go Into WWE Hall Of Fame

It seems that no year can go by without wrestling fans yearning for The British Bulldog and Owen Hart to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Both are deserving, there can be little doubt about that, but the circumstances surrounding their respective deaths have led WWE officials to stay away from honouring them at the annual ceremony.

For Hart, his tragic death live on WWE Pay-Per-View is still a touchy subject, and in the case of Davey Boy Smith, his demise was brought on by drug and steroid abuse, leading to a massive heart attack aged only 39 years old. One of the most vocal people about the need for Smith to be inducted is his son, Harry Smith, a former WWE star in his own right.

According to Harry, there's a petition currently doing the rounds containing literally thousands of signatures from people eager to see Davey inducted. Better yet, the list has a plethora of top wrestling talent on it, including the likes of Kurt Angle and Frankie Kazarian. Harry's friend, Michael - who lives in the UK - has the list in his possession, and plans to present it to WWE once he has enough signatures.
