4. Vince McMahon Is Disappointed That New Day Are Heels

Incredibly, WWE management wanted the trio of Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to be mid-card babyfaces. Working together as 'The New Day', the threesome have become one of the more entertaining heel acts on the entire roster, but that wasn't the original plan. It's no secret that the faction were supposed to be motivational good guys, clapping and singing on their way to the ring. Plans don't always come to fruition however, and fans were turned off by the overt happiness and positivity of the group. Quickly after their debut, the trio started to hear a lot of boos. Their chants of 'New Day Rocks' were met with replies of 'New Day Sucks' from the audience, which is something they have capitalised on since. Shockingly, this is something which still doesn't sit well with Vince McMahon. The boss had designs on making The New Day a positive stereotype. Traditionally, WWE hasn't always dealt well with the issue of race, but McMahon was eager to set an example. The fans were having none of it, and didn't appreciate the sickening 'goody two shoes' vibe of the stable. To this day, McMahon would rather the group weren't on the receiving end of booing from crowds.
