There are still hopes that Dean Ambrose will be a future main event player permanently in WWE. Much like many of his peers, Ambrose has had main event matches, including bouts for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. However, he's far from an established name at the top of the card, and would need a more prolonged run to really cement himself in that position. Ambrose has the talent, there's no doubt about that, but it all comes down to how serious WWE are about forging new headliners. Going back to his formative years in the company brings back a lot of good memories for the man, who told this week that he sometimes misses the NXT environment. Putting NXT over full stop, Ambrose says the most fun he's had in wrestling came during his time spent there. That's a really good indication that WWE are harnessing a positive environment in NXT. There was a time when developmental stars were stuck in limbo, desperate to gain enough attention to get onto the main roster. For Dean Ambrose, he misses the simple times when he was striving to get noticed.
