3. Kevin Nash Told Booker T The nWo "Needed Colour"

WWE Network

Booker T briefly joined WWE's (horrible) reincarnation of the nWo in 2002. By that point, the group was a pale imitation of its former self, and nowhere near how hot it had been between 1996-1998 in WCW.

On his 'Heated Conversations' podcast, Booker disclosed details on a backstage conversation he had with Kevin Nash in '98. The pair were real-life buddies, so Nash confided in Booker that the nWo "needed some colour". Being a token black character didn't appeal to T, and he decided to turn the overture down flat right there and then.

To him, it was obvious that the top tier Order members (Nash, Hall and Hogan) didn't do house shows, and it was only the grunts who were asked to put in a shift and keep the faction name ticking over on the road. Booker's brother Stevie Ray was one of those foot soldiers, and Booker wasn't interested in following in his footsteps.

Besides, after years of teaming with Ray in Harlem Heat, he fancied striking out on his own as a solo act.
