10. Teddy Long's Dance Was For The Benefit Of His Grandson

As Smackdown General Manager, Teddy Long was one of the longest-reigning authority figures in the company. Taking over the on-screen role in 2004, Long was involved right up to his departure from the company in 2014. His character became known for predictability, often scheduling tag-team matches for the big names on the brand. Another of Long's trademarks was a funny little dance he'd do during his segments. Usually after he had undermined a heel, Teddy would showcase the bizarre moves with a smile beaming across his face. Sometimes, other members of the roster would dance with him, such as Edge or Zack Ryder. The origin of this dance is actually quite close to Long's heart. During an interview with the Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling podcast, Teddy Long revealed that his grandson was the reason for the dance coming into existence. In his baby walker, the child would bounce up and down in similar fashion to what Long did on television. That was the reason Teddy did it in the first place, to entertain his grandson if he saw his grandfather on TV.
