6. Vince Russo Earned $2,000 Per Month As TNA's Secret Consultant
Vince Russo is one of the most polarising people in the history of professional wrestling. As far back as the 1990's, the writer was causing waves with his controversial storylines and characters for the then-WWF's 'Attitude' Era. Then, he became famous for an undeniably awful time spent writing for WCW. Since then, he has worked for TNA on and off. Talking to the Nuclear Heat podcast, Russo disclosed details regarding a private deal he held with TNA President Dixie Carter several years ago. Having apparently left the promotion, the writer continued working occasionally from home for TNA, acting more in a consultancy role than anything else. In Russo's words, he earned between $2,000-$3,000 per month for the gig. When it was outed that Russo was still working for TNA, some within the industry were upset by the revelation. Various news sources online had reported the link, but the writer denied it at the time. It seems he was well paid for merely offering advice.
