9. The Godfather Didn't Think The Nation Would Be So Big

Before there was resident 'Pimp Daddy' The Godfather, there was Kama Mustafa of The Nation Of Domination stable. That faction eased The Rock into superstardom, gave D'Lo Brown his first major gig and helped Faarooq retain relevance in the WWF. It worked then.

Godfather wasn't sure it would, at least not to the degree it did.

During an interview on 'Jordan Gaber NOW', he admitted that The Nation was always just viewed as a means to have fun by those involved. There was no talk of cultural significance or proper representation for African American athletes behind the scenes; NOD's imprint on WWE history didn't become clear to Kama until years later.

When he was living the gimmick, Mustafa treated it as just another storyline he was working through. He took it seriously, but never thought it'd become as "demanding" as it did when things started to catch on.
