7. Mike Tenay Feels It's A Miracle TNA Is Even Around

Up until recently, Mike Tenay was the host of Impact Wrestling: Unlocked, a second-string program from TNA which didn't really do much for officials at Destination America. The network thus made the decision to cancel the show, meaning Tenay isn't really doing much in front of the camera for the company currently. Being replaced by Josh Mathews as the main announcer on Impact Wrestling in January, Mike Tenay can look back on a lengthy career, not only with TNA, but also with WCW before that. For years, the man was the most recognisable voice for viewers tuning into TNA programming, but it appears those days are over. According to Tenay, it's a complete surprise that the promotion are still around in 2015, given the auspicious start they had in the pro wrestling business back in 2002. Speaking this past week, the announcer remarked that he always felt the way TNA set-up initially - running weekly Pay-Per-View events - was borderline ridiculous, because it was hard to attract sponsors and investors. A staunch defender of what TNA offers, it's somewhat surprising to hear Mike Tenay be so candid about things the company have done wrong.
