Brodus Clay's 'Funkasaurus' character was perhaps the nadir of WWE creativity before the company rightly started focusing on actual wrestlers instead of cartoonish gimmicks; average at best as a mid-card bufoon, Clay was never going to rise above mediocrity when saddled with that guise. Well, it sucked when he was left off the WrestleMania 29 card anyway. Telling WrestleList all about his disappointment, Brodus said he was left gutted when officials pulled a planned 8-person tag match (Clay, Tensai and the Funkadactyls vs. Team Rhodes Scholars and The Bella Twins) off the show.

Following that, he admitted to developing an attitude and not handling the cancellation very well at all. After working hard to finally get a 'Mania match, Clay couldn't believe that it was canned just because others on the show had gone over their allotted time.
