7. D-Von Dudley "Needed" That Last WWE Run

Looking back, it's probably for the best that WWE didn't end The New Day's record-breaking Tag Title run with a short nostalgia trip for The Dudley Boyz in 2015/2016. Another reign as champs would have been unnecessary for the legends. Just ask D-Von.

On Lilian Garcia's Chasing Glory show, D-Von said the team knew they were returning to put younger stars over, not to dominate again and become champions. Not being a focal point didn't bother D-Von at all. He only wanted to get back into a routine with WWE and use a disciplined schedule to get his private life back in order.

D-Von didn't mince his words here. He "needed "another shot with WWE.

Knowing he and Bubba hadn't left on the best of terms in 2005, D-Von believed one final run in WWE would give the team some closure and ground him personally at the same time. It worked, and D-Von says he's much happier for getting that happy ending.
