During appearances in November, 2014 on Colt Cabana's 'Art Of Wrestling' podcast, former WWE star CM Punk made the bold claim that The Shield was actually his idea. Going into details about pitching the concept of the stable to company management, Punk also revealed that WWE took the idea from him, re-packaging it in their own way. Getting Punk's statements off his chest, Roman Reigns hit out at his former peer, interestingly stating that the only thing Punk made was 'that Pepsi tattoo on his shoulder'. Speaking during an appearance at the Wizard World Comic Con in Philadelphia, Reigns also remarked that it was Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and himself who made The Shield was it was, not CM Punk. It'll be fascinating to see if Punk catches wind of Roman's words, and whether or not he'll choose to respond in the near future. If there's one thing fans can count on with CM Punk, it's that the guy seems to enjoy being outspoken, so he likely won't have appreciated the sentiments of Reigns one bit. In truth, it doesn't seem like Roman Reigns really cares!
