10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (May 27)
10. Vince McMahon Was Happy To See Jim Ross Call NJPW
Wrestling Inc recently conducted an interview with the legendary former WWE announcer Jim Ross, during which one eye-opening fact was learned. From 1993-2013, Ross worked for Vince McMahon in multiple capacities, including as a commentator, talent scout and creative influence. When he left the company, many were sad to see him go.
Over the years, WWE haven't missed too many opportunities to poke fun at JR's appearance or the fact that fans hold him in high esteem. The professional in Ross was usually able to rise above such ribs and jokes to simply get on with his job.
Now, Jim works for AXS TV, calling New Japan Pro Wrestling, boxing and more. Despite rumours of a shaky relationship between he and McMahon at times, Ross said that Vince actually congratulated him on landing the gig.
Realising how much his former employee loves calling pro wrestling, Vince McMahon was apparently happy to see Jim Ross getting on away from the WWE spotlight. That flies in the face of internet conjecture that Ross and McMahon left things on bad terms.
