Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson are the current reigning NXT Tag-Team Champions. The tandem have been heralded by many wrestling fans as a breath of fresh air in the WWE tag scene, and there are already those calling for them to be called up from development to the main roster. Others feel the duo have been paired together randomly by creative. That's not the case, both Wilder and Dawson know one another very well. During a sit down interview with the official WWE website this week, they revealed details of their long journey to the top of the tag-team ranks. As it turns out, both men were actually friends as children, and have known one another for some 24 years. Growing up in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, the pair bonded through a dream of becoming professional wrestlers. Their home town only has a population of a few thousand, meaning their odds were even more restricted in finding others who shared their dreams. They have helped one another behind the scenes for their entire grappling careers, with Dawson even recommending Wilder to WWE officials when he was hired first.
