7. Zelina Vega's Amazing First Meeting With The Rock
On Lilian Garcia's Chasing Glory podcast, diminutive sass-merchant Zelina Vega dished the details on a brave snap decision that changed her life.
The Rock was in the house for a one-off cameo segment with Rusev and Lana on the 6 October 2014 episode of Raw. Vega, meanwhile, was appearing as one of Adam Rose's Rosebuds for his dark match earlier that night. Going against her nerves, Vega walked up to Rocky and told him how she remembered her deceased father fondly (he died in the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks) because they were both big fans and often watched his work together.
Touched by her words, Rock never forget Zelina and text her a month or so later after reading about her dad's tragedy. Looking to help out further, he then called Vega personally and cast her for a role in Paige’s biopic 'Fighting With My Family'. As executive producer, The Rock had that power.
Vega must have left quite the impression on him during that chance meeting.
