5. Rey Mysterio
Fans old enough to recall the masked man's scorching Cruiserweight Title matches against Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho and more in WCW will know that Rey Mysterio once had 'Jr' attached to his name. That was quietly dropped when Rey signed for WWE in 2002. He was a Jr no more, and never would be again.
That means he's playing the exact same character as his uncle, who worked as Rey Misterio.
Side-by-side pictures of both men are almost identical now. Both wear/wore similar masks, both have a thin goatee chin strap beard, both have bodies adorned with tattoos and both wear/wore flashy, colourful ring gear on their bottom half. The entire concept of Mysterio is a follow-up tribute to his family, and that's pretty special.
Rey didn't change his surname from Misterio to Mysterio until a few years into his career either. Instead, he wrestled as Rey Misterio Jr after early runs as "La Lagartija Verde" (The Green Lizard) and "ColibrÃ" (Hummingbird) in Mexico.
