10 Wrestling Moments Everyone Misunderstood As Kids

5. Why Did The Undertaker Just Hang The Big Boss Man?

At WrestleMania XV, The Undertaker, with the help of the Brood, hanged the Big Boss Man from the roof of the Hell In A Cell structure. This was disturbing. We'd just witnessed an ostensible murder on WWE television, and Boss Man sold the absurd seriously.

Though Michael Cole made sure to screech the words S Y M B O L I C over and over again, what we were to know? The Undertaker mutilated himself and others on television as he debuted his Ministry. This wasn't beyond him. The more sensitive among us didn't savour RAW for the fallout of Steve Austin's WWF Title victory - we wanted to know if the Boss Man was, indeed, resting in peace. We knew wrestling wasn't on the level, but how were the WWF going to bring him back to life?

As it turns out, he simply walked to the ring with very little in the way of explanation eight days later. This whole thing was orchestrated to shock our innocent minds, and to obscure the fact that the WWF had more or less ruined a genuine pay-per-view draw of a stipulation.

"The thing about doing the Cell, Vince, is that we're gonna bury it."

"Just hang him then."
