7. Eric Bischoff Embraces Vince McMahon

Around one calendar year after he'd purchased WCW, Vince McMahon shockingly embraced the man who had been responsible for the promotion's most successful years. Eric Bischoff was, to many people, Mr. WCW. Just a few short years prior to his first ever Monday Night Raw appearance, Bischoff had been crowing about how he couldn't wait to put the then-WWF (and thus Vince McMahon) out of business for good. On the July 15th, 2002 episode of Raw, McMahon introduced the show's new General Manager. Eyes widened when it became clear it was Bischoff. There were those who believed WWE management missed a trick by not having 'Easy E' feud with Vince, but it cannot be denied this was an astounding moment in wrestling history. Bischoff had been interested in buying WCW himself in 2001, and wanted to work hard to reboot the promotion's flagging reputation. Instead, just over 12 months later, he was a World Wrestling Entertainment employee. Many would have loved him to have been part of the botched 'Invasion' angle, but it still very cool to see him excel as an on-screen character in WWE.
