Somehow, Randy Savage and hip-hop are the perfect tag team. Its nearly unthinkable, but the Macho Man makes it work -- his raspy voice is perfect for some hard-hitting rap. Savages Be A Man album was released back in 2003, when the Macho Man was frankly a bit bitter toward some people and wrestling, in general. However, Savage was still a popular figure amongst wrestling fans -- both dedicated and casual. He had even appeared in the previous years Spider-Man movie -- of course, he played a wrestler. There are actually a handful of decent tracks on this album. Theyre all a little out there, however, as they often deal with the world of professional wrestling and Savages feelings toward his former colleagues. The most famous song on the album is easily the title track. Its a non-stop diss directed right at Hulk Hogan. Savage claims in the song that he had challenged Hogan to shoot fights at various times, but the Hulkster always denied. Because of this, Savage claimed Hogan was being a chump. Another noteworthy track is Perfect Friend, which was written for and dedicated to Curt Hennig. Better known as Mr. Perfect, Hennig had passed away earlier in 2003. The track features a catchy R&B chorus, thankfully not sung by the Madness, himself.
