10 Wrestling Performances That Proved People Wrong
10. Roman Reigns - Vs. Brock Lesnar, WrestleMania 31
2015 was a bit of a bittersweet time for Roman Reigns.
The new chosen one managed to become the first Shield member to win the Royal Rumble match and found himself bounding towards an epic WWE title battle against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. The only problem was the fact that just about every single person in the numerous arenas WWE hit on the Road to WrestleMania was against the idea of The Big Dog having the proverbial rocket strapped to his tactical vest.
In short, most folks felt that Daniel Bryan deserved to be in that spot instead. So, when it became abundantly clear that there would be no last-minute alterations to this sacred clash (in the lead-up, at least), few had faith in the relatively green face being able to hang with The Beast.
But hang he did.
Producing by far his most impressive and well-rounded display between the ropes to date, Reigns sold like a warrior and fully had Levi's Stadium believing he'd all but sealed his first WWE Championship before a certain Architect made his presence known.
Whether they liked it or not, fans had to acknowledge the arrival of a bona fide main eventer there and then.
