10 Wrestlers Who Came Back From The Dead

By Jamie Kennedy /

1. Paul Bearer

By far one of the most corny and ridiculous on-screen deaths was that of Paul Bearer. Cropping up a few times on this list, the manager had returned in 2004 along with The Undertaker, who had went back to his roots of being the more traditional 'Taker fans were accustomed to. This had followed a lengthy run as the 'biker' Undertaker, and fans were pleased to see Bearer back on TV. At the Great American Bash PPV, Undertaker faced The Dudley Boys in a main event handicap match. The stipulation was that should 'Taker lose, Bearer would be murdered live on air, buried alive in a sea of cement. As if that wasn't dramatic enough, the man was placed inside a glass case at ringside, just so everybody could see his demise.Even though The Undertaker would win, Bearer was apparently killed off as a character, buried in the glass case by concrete, and it was actually 'Taker himself who instigated the burial. This wasn't explained when he returned years later, once again by The Undertaker's side. Sadly, the man behind the Bearer persona, William Moody, would pass away in 2013, and it's a shame that his long-running character was subject to such treatment.
