10 WWE Anomalies (That Were Super Weird)
8. Fandango's Music Becomes Smash Hit
Nowadays, Fandango is pretty much a glorified jobber, one that doesn't appear to have the best crack at upward mobility on the WWE roster at the moment, or at any point in the near future. The man behind the dancing gimmick, otherwise known as Johnny Curtis, is actually a solid performer, but his 'let's do the cha-cha' persona was never going to work, was it?
Incredibly, for the most brief of periods, Fandango was all the rage. Not only did the character's entrance music catch on with WWE fans during the post-WrestleMania XXIX episode of Monday Night Raw in 2013, but it also stormed up the iTunes charts, as people even outside the wrestling bubble started downloading it.
This led to Fandango being shoved to the forefront as the guy charged with hitting the UK media to hype up the impending annual WWE tour of the country. Appearing everywhere from radio to Sky Sports News, the dancing fool was one of the most-talked about stars in the promotion, if only for a few short months.
