6. Maria Kanellis Emasculates Mike

Mike and Maria Kanellis reportedly wanted out of their WWE deals as early as January 2019, but the promotion wouldn't grant those releases. Nah, why do that when you can chuck the real-life couple onto telly to talk about Maria's very-real pregnancy, then have her berate Mike for being a bad father and husband?

The writers went for shock value and not much else here. Amongst other things, they had Maria browbeat her hubby for his lack of sexual prowess, and she even once threatened to kick him in his "vagina". OK then; admittedly, the angle did get some early press, but that gave way to apathy once things got monotonous.

Both Maria and Mike were eventually let go in April 2020 as part of cost-cutting measures. Their storyline, which included accusations that Mikey boy couldn't sexually satisfy his wife, made a mockery of their relationship for no apparent reason.
